GST Payment

There are three methods by which GST can be paid.

  1. ePayment (Netbanking):
  2. Over the Counter
  3. NEFT/RTGS

 

Steps to make GST Payment

  • Open www.gst.gov.in
  • navigate to Services>Payments>Create Challan
    GST payment method
  • Enter your GST Number
  • following screen will appear

 

  • Fill your Tax Amount
  
  • Select payment method
  • And Click on Generate Challan

E-Payment

  • Click on Net-banking
  • Select Bank
  • Tick Terms & conditions
  • Click on Make Payment
  • It will redirect to your bank login page
  • Enter your Bank’s credential & make payment
If your Bank is not in the list, create NEFT/RTGS challan and transfer fund by adding Account number given in challan.

Over The Counter

  • Select bank
  • Select Mode of payment
  • Can be paid through Cash/Cheque/DD
  • Cash Payment is limited to Rs. 10000
  • Mostly Bank deny cash payment
  •  click on generate challan
  • download & take printout
  • go to bank & make payment

NEFT/RTGS

  • Select bank
  • Tick Terms & conditions
  • click on generate challan
  • can be paid as if normal NEFT & RTGS is made
  • Can be made by adding account number in your bank account (if usigng netbanking/m-banking)
  • Or by visiting Bank

List of Bank authorized for GST payment

If you are making payment through net banking or over the counter then it is possible that your bank is not in the list. But if pay through NEFT/RTGS then you can do it through all bank as if you can transfer fund to any other bank account normally.

Only following banks are authorized for making GST Payment using mode of net banking or over the counter:

  • Axis Bank
  • Bank of India
  • Canara Bank
  • Corporation Bank
  • HDFC Bank
  • IDBI Bank
  • INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK
  • ORIENTAL BANK OF COMMERCE
  • PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK
  • SYNDICATE BANK
  • UNION BANK OF INDIA
  • VIJAYA BANK
  • ANDHRA BANK
  • BANK OF BARODA
  • BANK OF MAHARASHTRA
  • CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA
  • DENA BANK
  • ICICI BANK LIMITED
  • INDIAN BANK
  • JAMMU AND KASHMIR BANK LIMITED
  • PUNJAB AND SIND BANK
  • STATE BANK OF INDIA
  • UCO BANK
  • UNITED BANK OF INDIA
